RGC vs OPC CO₂ eq data - March 2024

Una Developments’ novel (patented) RGC binder formulations will make a positive contribution to climate change mitigation. An independent Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) exercise has demonstrated that RGC binder has a substantially lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) when compared with OPC. Furthermore, recent trials at scale have demonstrated that the use of RGC binder, when compared with OPC CEMI/II, requires a lower dosage of cement (minimum 10%), results in a reduced weight of concrete (minimum 5%) and uses less water (subject to mix design), whilst achieving similar (if not better) engineering properties.
